Bilingual Corporate Site Security Manager

Global Tools and Storage (GTS), a division at Mission, TX site, is looking for CSSS Site Security Manager who will be responsible for a variety of tasks to include all physical security responsibilities in Mission, TX. Position will be part of the SBD Security & Safety Services corporate team.  The Stanley Black & Decker (SBD) Asset Protection team provides security / safety / executive operations / investigative related oversight and guidance to SBD business units.  This position reports to the Regional Security Director and will work with various headquarters employees, local site leadership, Asset Protection professionals, local law enforcement and outside consultants as, and if required.  The primary objective of this position is to supervise the Security & Safety Services Team, to safeguard the facility/grounds, executive employees and be a First Responder in a crisis/emergency.  This position may require some travel, working non-business hours and potentially weekends. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:
 

  • Security & Safety Services of SBD Mission, TX Plant.

  • Manage the 3rd party vendor security services.

  • C-TPAT Champion for site.

  • Directing visitors and controlling access at all Security Posts.

  • Monitoring CCTV, security, and fire suppression systems.

  • Patrolling and securing areas inside and outside the facility.

  • Documenting security and safety related incidents.

  • Implementing physical security improvements.

  • First Responder to a Crisis Situation.  Provide First Aid / CPR / AED.

  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.


Education and Experience
 

  • High School Degree required, and/or higher education preferred.  Three (3) years or more related security/law enforcement experience a plus.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

  • CTPAT and/or Regulatory Compliance experience preferred.

  • Supervisory experience is highly desirable.

  • Strong Microsoft Office computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

  • CPR / AED / First Aid Training desirable.

  • Strong leadership skills including effective oral and written communication, issue resolution, negotiation, motivating others, collaborative, team player, ability to deal with obstacles and partner with senior management to identify / solve problems.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, drug screen, and psychological screening process is required. 

  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing.

  • Have a valid driver's license, and clean driving history, if driving a company-owned vehicle

  • Strategic thinker to identify and minimize exposure to global emerging trends and threats as they relate to the Campus.

  • Able to work independently, without direct supervision, under wide ranges of physical and mental stress. Responsive to supervision and direction but has the capacity for independent initiative when required.
