Make your own Banana Brew\, attend 'Butterfly U' for Young Naturalists\, enjoy 'Wild Things' Arts & Crafts\, Hunt the Hackberry Trail\, Pin the Tail on the Swallowtail\, and climb all over our 'Hungry Caterpillar' playscape!\n\n\n\nVendors and exhibits will be set up in the Visitor's Pavilion and in the gardens for all to enjoy on this special day\, during the peak of butterfly season in south Texas.\n\n\n\nYour Participation Helps Save Our Natural Treasures\n\n\n\nEach year\, the National Butterfly Center provides engaging environmental education programs to thousands of children in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. Proceeds from the Texas Butterfly Festival support these high-quality\, conservation programs and provide scholarships to very low income students and schools. Our FREE Community Day is just one more way in which we're "Growing Connections" between people\, plants\, and the Winged Wonders that make our world so colorful.\n\n\n\nSponsor Community Day\, as a Caterpillar\, Tropical Milkweed or Betony Mistflower\, and your financial contribution will enhance our educational exhibits\, purchase equipment and provide field trip supplies and scholarships for local children visiting the Center.
